Roger Moore has died. RIP! The Bond I grew up watching. Thankfully the monumentally overrated and monumentally crap actor Sean Connery had left the role by the time I started watching Bond films and I liked Moore. Yes him and his eyebrow acting were mocked on Spitting Image but I thought he was ok. It was always a big deal when the repeats of Live & Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me would be on the telly when I was a kid.

My Fave Bonds:

1. Craig
2. Brosnan
3. Moore

Moore was actually my favourite bond. Loved the crappy double entendres.

In fact he came over as a bloke who never really took himself seriously but probably had a very dark side as well.

I'll fill you in.

Starts off with him shagging some foreign bird before Q sends for him. Q explains some bad guys are about to destroy the world and there may be a contact in a dingy club in an exotic harbour who could tell him how to find him. After collecting some gadgets from M he shags another bird who he meets at the club before dumping her for the bad guy's bird, who he also shags before finding her dead, killed by the bad guys henchmen. This makes him mad. He infiltrates the bad guys empire and gradually unravels his dastardly plan before been sussed and taken prisoner and subject to some ludicrous convoluted execution that he somehow escapes. After a series of high tech explosions and vehicle chases he eventually has a fist fight with the baddy and kills him off with a fire extinguisher or summat and despatches him with a sly witticism. He then unchains his female accomplice, shags her and the phone rings. Its Q again....etc etc and the whole farcical nonsense starts all over again

Ha ha. I could accommodate the Martinis and most of the gratuitous humping but I would require some kind of shag stunt double if she throws Grace Jones at me. Otherwise.....

I've just realised I've got my Bonds mixed up.

It was Sean Connery and Petula Clark, not Roger Moore.
