I admit to never having heard of this bloke until I read about his 'Nos Da Comrade' album last year. But I've subsequently found out he has a string of albums going back a decade or so. Thought I'd start off with this best of. PB is a seriously good songwriter and singer, a really superb voice. When I first put this on it sounded really familiar but I think that came from Bruntnells distillation of some of the best artists and songs into his own vintage brew. Similarities with Teenage Fanclub and Wilco, as well as Elvis Costello and The Beatles. This guy is the real deal. Glad I've finally found out about his music.
