Well that was a long way for nowt. Not that we deserved nothing because we were good for at least a point. If the final ball and penalty area decision making was at least average we would have walked it.

Had an ale or three in Witcombe near Gloucester before the crawl through the Bristol rush hour traffic and as usual the two thousand Leeds fans were in good lubricated voice in the sleek and tidy rejuvenated Ashton Gate stadium.

Bristol pressed high for the first fifteen minutes but we held them and still managed to play our way out of defence. Eventually we got control of midfield pushing down both wings and went close twice after pull backs from the by line were dragged wide.

Bristol found the odd gap through our center but it was only for the last five when Jansson lost his head briefly that they looked remotely dangerous.

Bristol started the second half energetically but again we contained the initial bluster before again coming more and more into it. Sacko, Ayling, Charley and Dallas had them on the back foot whilst Wood was causing problems. But, again the old problem with finishing, final balls and composure in the box let us down.

The ref was a total tit end, booked Charlie for absolutely nothing, penalised everything Wood did whilst giving him nothing, booked Dallas when it was him who got butted, wasted a couple of our advantages, could have given a free kick when OKane appeared to be fouled that led to their goal and was equally shit for them. Having said that it wasn't he who spurned possession time and again when we had the ball in good positions or he who wasted several great chances on goal.

Overall we again looked decent. The back four were good, Green steady, Hernandez excellent with only Jansson going off with what looked like a Hamstring at half time a real concern. Cooper did fine though and it thankfully doesn't look like a serious injury. Bridcutt sounds in a bit of trouble though, 'kin marvellous eh?

To cap it all we had a nightmare getting out of the car park. Chuffing Traffic lights on our road onto the main road were not working properly. A full hour just leaving the Car park area and back home for 3.45 AM. Glory Days, On and On

Finishing as you say is our problem at the moment, Sacko being one of our biggest culprits.  Listened to the Ipswich game via radio Suffolk and they couldn't believe how bad a finisher he was. Wood, even though had a good game should be putting sitters in the back of the net.
Dedication, LD. You must have it by the shed load for making that journey.  See you in Ipswich on a cold Tuesday night at some point during the winter!!
Thanks for the report.

Indeed, As pieman said at ten past eleven as we left the car park with a four hour journey ahead of us and only the possibility of a service station coke and ginster pie to raise the spirits, " where else would you rather be?"
