This Saturday. Not sure what to expect really.
More for the sake of my son as it will be his first 'proper' gig. Think he saw Busted or some shit like that when he was ickle but this is his biggest to date. Sure that he will enjoy it though..

NCB, could well be your dad. Depends where your mum comes from and how old you are..

Codge, have seats up in the Gods. Supposed to be seated almost vertical by the sounds of things.
Nice...

Solution: Stuff Badge Junior into a Gibson case (drill a couple of tiny air holes in it) turn up at the stage door and when challenged say "This is for Pete. He asked me to bring it and that if any security should try to stop me I should tell them to fuck off". Hey presto you get in with your lad and watch T'Who from stage right. Should work.

I'm not turning green. Honest. Not me. No.

Would have loved to be there for that.

Off topic:

In a band made up of four or five people, when should they after the deaths of/ departings of members should they still carry the name of the original band? Its like with T'Who. There is only two of em left. Granted they are still legends but should they keep the same name? Discuss.....

Yes, because Townsend and Daltrey were the prominent sounds of the band and Townsend did most of the writing, with possibly Daltrey not far behind.

It's an interesting question.  I know Hugh Cornwell, when he left The Stranglers, claimed to be puzzled why the band carried on under the same name, they should have at least changed it to Stranglers 2 or whatever.  Couldn't really care less myself but I see the POV against it.

Think if it were either Daltrey or Townsend who were no longer in the band then it could be a bit naff. As Coge has said, they were are the driving force of the band. Same with The Clash, Mick Jones,Strummer if either of those left which Mick did it just wasnt the same..

Two questions, put em in whatever priority you like.

- Can you afford it?

- Are you stupid???

Bite the arm of who ever is offering you the ticket!!

They were absolutely amazing when i saw them in London last Saturday. For guys that are knocking on their 70's they sure as hell can still perform and seem to really give it their all. The whole of the band from the Horns through to the Key board player were brilliant. Townsends brother was also playing on guitar.
My son had a really ace time of it and was singing along to all of the songs being belted out. I must admit to finding it a tad weird being at a gig where you sit. Lots of people around us not moving or even nodding heads to the music being played. Like they were sitting at home watchig it on a DVD or something..

Take your credit card or a wad of cash if you are wanting any merchandise, 25 for a t-shirt and 15 for a fooking programe!50 for a sweatshirt!
Kind of pissed me off a bit demanding that kind of money from most of which who were there probably very loyal fans over the last 40 odd years.

It's probably best they stick with the Who name as "The cynical old dirty internet "researching" Thatcher lovers" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue even if Daltry's insane ramblings these days does.

Glad the lad loved it though. Despite the above they have done some belting stuff.
