Well worth tuning in if you like to listen to the odd story now and again.
Ive listened to loads of good stuff on here from time to time.
It has good comedy on it as well. Steptoe and Hancock if you like that sort of thing. And more modern comedy later on in the evening.

Steptoe and Hancock?

Was that a side business they had going?

It's almost a goner now, isn't it, Radio 7?

To be replaced by Radio 4 Extra?

If you're a classic comedy fan, as I am, it  was great to have a radio station devoted to the classics and it's a shame to see that option disappear.

R4 Extra will be much more contemporary than R7, apparently, so no more Goon Shows and Hancock and so on.

Shame.

I didn't know that. Will it be the same format of drama and comedy though?
Some of the old stuff is pretty ropey so it might not be terrible to give it a bit of a prune, but as you say there are some classic ones too.

Don't panic clacks. I've just checked and it's not going to be that different. They'll still have the old stuff.

Good litttle station this. Would be a shame if they were to change the format too much. Not that im into it that much but for those like Clacks who like all the old classic comedy it would.
