Why dont i go round asking all the London libraries if they have a copy and if not, can they order one, then i'll join and keep taking it out. Could we make a living from this?

Yes if you're anywhere near:
City of London, Islington, London Libraries Consortium (Enfield, Barking & Dagenham, Brent, Ealing, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Richmond Upon Thames, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Wandsworth)

But no we wouldn't make a living from it.

I thought the library royalty worked out to be something like six pence per loan, up to an annual maximum of a few thousand quid per book.

What was your understanding Mr McCann?

Not sure how much per loan, could well be 6p, the annual max payment is 6,600 per book.

jr hartley wasted so much time trying to get hold of his book from bookshops, if he'd just borrowed it continuously from the library he'd have had his copy and 6,600 to boot!

silly sod.

I saw in the news this morning that fifteen district libraries are to close in Leeds and be replaced by mobile ones in order to save 700,000. Still, if that money can be spent more effectively on more useful things like research into newer faster fighter planes or foreign aid, then at least somebody will benefit eh. Community hubs are overated anyway. Lets get rid of park benches as well, so that there is no way at all that people can interact with one another. They have already made beer so expensive that people can't afford to go out and socialise in the area they live in.

How dare they take our libraries away, the fucking cheeky bastards! That is all.
