Wants to get it paid off
Look out kid
It’s somethin’ you did
God knows when
But you’re doin’ it again
You better duck down the alley way
Lookin’ for a new friend
The man in the coon-skin cap
By the big pen
Wants eleven dollar bills
You only got ten

Has everyone that's coming got a mobile number to contact other Reggers if for instance The Hop runs out of beer, they don't let people with beards in or grown men pretending to be dogs?

I have on my t'mobile Docks,Bearings & Late Doors numbers. Just in case anything changes during the events of the afternoon can everyone get in touch with someone? I'd hate somebody to think we've fucked off when we're just round the corner getting tattoos done or sommat

Has a general consensus been previously reached that we will also be meeting in The Hop after the match as well?

I appreciate that some correspondents will have their own plans.

I have numbers for Stripe, the Lord, Sir Michael of McCann, The Mol and Ash - so I'm fairly well connected. Hells teeth I even have the number of the man at TOP.

I'll need a few pre game ales to steady the nerves. I'm shaking already and it's only Tuesday.

You're near the very top of my list of friends Ash

Two R's had my number but obviously doesn't want to know me anymore.  Musicians, pain in the arris!

Damn. I knew I'd forget someone important!

I've also mentioned to the slightly less famous Leeds Poet that I'm attending the game so shall also let him know the plan.

Since my restraining order, I'm not allowed to have any of your numbers.

Dock PM'd me over the weekend to let me know that we're now meeting at the New Penny Bar, is that right?

As I work in the locality, I thought I'd have a quick recce at the proposed meeting point - which I hope is still The Hop.
Looks very pleasant. First time I've been down to the new Granary Wharfe area and I'm impressed. Lots of space outside which will make a change from being roped in outside the Spoons.
I've always jogged the other way, but i think I'll jog this way next time. Anyone any idea how far you can get on the two path heading that way?

Mr. Butts has kindly agreed to escort me to the venue as my knowledge of Leeds City Centre is 20 yrs out of date.

I have Butts, Bearings, Stripe's and Mick's mobiles in case of emergencies.

So should be ok.

Thanks for doing the organising Foo

I haven't done anything FC apart from start a thread & name a venue. Not too sure whether I'm making the pre game drink yet all depends on what Mrs Foo & the Foosters have planned for the day. Which is a pity as I'd like to meet Seal & yourself if your not there for the aftermath. As long as everyone has a point of contact we should all be fine.

Not long now brothers infact its...

I sincerely hope Mr Seal (as well as everybody else) can manage at least a quick post-match pint together after the game.

Well what a fine day out that was.

Early start - 7:15 - to get the train to that there London in good time for the connection to Kings X.

Only for a signal failure at Upminster to, ahem, derail my plans somewhat. I had to get the District line all the way in from Upminster (look at the map, it's a LOT of stops) to Monument, checking my watch at each stop and re-calculating my time left. I calculated that I would have a 5 minute window if I got all the connections in short order.

Getting to Bank and seeing the arse end of a Northern Line train disappearing up the tunnel led to a great deal of pacing, swearing and sweating on the Tube platform, and a Tom Cruise style sprint from the Tube at kings X, dodging pedestrians and no doubt some blokes in a helicopter, to the train, where normal breathing resumed somewhere near Luton.

Anywhoo, made it to Leeds in time to get lost between the station and the Hop and phone Butts for directions  . Had a a quick look round Granary Wharf: very nice, you can snap up a canal side luxury flat for only £95K if you act now. Met up with Stripe, and Bearing, who collared me for a fiver for the shaved legs, then the rest of the gang appeared over the course of 3 pints of Osset Brewery Pale Gold. I had the pie meal deal for a fiver too. Nom, nom, nom. I was so shocked that I got all that food for only a fiver I completely forgot the free pint that you get with it, and needed a bit of a sit down.

*investigates canal side living in Leeds city Centre*

Got a lift to the ground from FC - cheers for that   - and the rest is history!

Nice to meet everyone, if only briefly in Mick's case. Must do it again next season.
