Cheers codge, was going to wish you a good one yesterday but it all got a bit frantic later on. Heard yesterday MC has already effectively gone.

Really?  Who did you hear from, may I ask?

People who defend him say he's doing a great job now, the league table is the proof.  It's not something you can really argue against unless you have the proof that he is nowhere near the squad etc to interfere

I missed the goal by the way, had a gig to attend which I think Heyho has written aboot on here.  Mate texted me before the final whistle to say we were 2-0 down

Although not a regular attender I do enjoy seeing us at the sharp end of the table.

The key, as we all know is keeping hold of GM.

And I think that may prove difficult.

Not been a bad month has it? Monk was making all the right noises on Radio Leeds post match yesterday about players staying.

But remember 'we are 'Leeds'.

Cautiously optimistic is the best we should be for a top 6 position.

Pretty average league and a tight one at that. Can't see Reading or the Dog Botheres sustaining there run to be honest. Wednesday might though. Brighton are also know to slip up towards the end of the season so the top two slots aren't a nailed on cert. History shows there will be at least one late challenger moving up the table that gathers momentum when it matters. Derby, Norwich, Villa, Birmingham are nicely poised for a new year run in.

Nobody said it would be easy

Any significance in the 50/50 split? Is that better or worse than having a majority shareholder? Maybe just a transitionary state before Cellino goes altogether.

I could tell you what I think and I could tell you what certain possible ITKers believe is happening, but in the end no one seems to know for certain the finer detail of this arrangement.

Definitely some bullshitters going around trying to claim everything is good at the club DUE to Cellino rather than in spite of him.  There are also some Cellinoites trying to disparage Radrizzani as a businessman and his intentions.

I said yonks ago folks that I was told that it would be 50% of the club 'now' and 50% at the end of the season.  Was also warned that Cellino was being a pain in the negotiative arse simply because he wants to leave 'on his terms' ie look like a smart, heroic and decent man.

Not left a Leeds game so happy for a very very long time. That was immense on Friday. That said we could have lost the fecker 2-1 if it wasnt for two outstanding pieces of keeping

We dominated the first half, almost men against boys, but only just scraped a lead and you thought 'hmmmmmm we should have made more of our dominance'.

Credit to Derby (and especially McClaren)  as the tactical change at half time and the introduction of the two subs almost changed the game fully round. For the first 10-15 minutes of the 2nd half it was like roles reversed from the 1st half.

But then Leeds adjusted which I was most impressed about and for the last 30 minutes we negated Derbys pressure so that most the football was in med field. Yes a couple of typical Leeds scares and some excellent goalkeeping.

But I wouldn't be a Leeds fan and get that little sickly feeling in my stomach as I wonder 'can we maintain this run or is something going to ruin it'.

At the moment though this team are playing football as good  as we have seen from a Leeds team for a long time. Even better than Graysons promotion team I think!

There was one outstandingly crap bit of goalkeeping too, which we also got away with.

I'm also impressed by the standard and style of our football, you can't expect to have the whole 90 minutes of any game, important thing is riding out the storm.

Well done The Monk.

Silvestri's still worse, whatever 'crap bit' he's referring to

If it's the kick which Bent hand-balled then I'd dispute it but anyway, FFS DON'T PASS BACK TO THE KEEPER!

Ahh right, that yes. I too thought at the time it was a dodgy back pass. Like every other keeper he makes a few errors but he is also key to our playing out from the back style. The back four never hesitate to give it him and all are ready for a short pass back. I like it

If you look at how Banks, Shilton, Harvey et al used to keep the game has changed out of all recognition. Back passing to the keeper was practically un heard of then but the biggest annoyance to me in todays games is this palm away style. Shot comes rifling at them and instead of catching the ball (which in many circumstances is an option) it is now the done thing to try and palm it away into a safe zone hoping a defender is there to clear. Same on crosses. It's safer to be a keeper now than it's ever been, a sneeze near them and its a foul, but the insistence to fist a ball away rather than catch it annoys me.

Continental football? We used to have a monopoly on the worlds best keepers

Jasus H fecking christonabike. All so chuffing predictable isn't it but yet it still churns you into pieces. I'm just glad I'm in my fifties because if this was twenty five years ago my life would have gone into meltdown

Let's hope we can hang on to the defence. Need at least two decent midfielders and proper support for Wood. Maybe a big rough bastard like Becchio.

Not really looking forward to the Norwich game now.

Christ I'd forgotten him. Is he knackered. He would have been an ideal partner for Wood (not that we play 4-4-2
