Wrexham Supporters Prepare to Man the Barricades Again

Greetings all. I seldom venture outside the Wrexham area of this site but I hope you don't mind me bringing something to a wider audience.

Again, Wrexham fans are facing a battle against ground-stealing owners determined to make money out of the oldest international football stadium still in use.

This article has the background to the story

There's another good article here:

Welcome on here anytime CD. Good luck with it, keep us posted.

An interesting little twist developed last night. Some curious sole had a dig around at Companies House and found that the Rugby Football League have got a mortgage charge over the Racecourse dated 24th October 2010, the date the Crusaders came out of administration.

For those of you that don't know, the Crusaders rugby league franchise were bought by the owners of Wrexham football club and installed as tenants and were supposed to be helping us meet the costs of running the stadium.

Now they are being bankrolled by the RFL who could take ownership of our ground if they default on their debt.

Very poor turn out lads. Forum Index -> All other football
