Brownsea Island is in Pool Harbour as is Furzey.  Dunno about the rest but I'm guessing they are too.
bearing

There was three different Kings in 1936. George the summat or other an altogether unhealthy chap died early in the year, Edward replaced him before pissing off with that Yanky tart and he  was replaced by his brother Albert who became a George the something.

Is that owt to do with it?
bearing

Oh and Ed never had a coronation
Grind

I swam to Brownsea island as a nipper - they used to have cub camps there too, I think.

Those dates definitely all had three kings - so I guess it's also possible that the three middle ones didn't manage to get crowned? Harold II, Edward V (of Princes in the Tower fame) and Edward VIII.

Harold II also replaced an Edward?

Steve Martin liked his Special Purpose in The Jerk.
bearing

Well 1066 definitely had HAROOOOOLD and Will the Conker

HAROOOOOLD replaced Edward the Confessor early doors in 1066
Tank Girl

if it is not kings who were never crowned then it is kings who ruled for the shortest period of time i reckon.
eg they all ruled for under a year, under 6 months or sommat.
Forest

I think its the three kings thing, 1483 was around the time Richard III was about doing terrible things.

There's a song about that...

Did they all marry women who looked like their wet nurse nannies?

Well done Bearing with Poole harbour. Did you know that Brownsea Island is where the boy scout movement was founded. Guaranteed to break the ice at dinner parties, that one.

the other one is years in which there was three monarchs. I guess due to one of them dying, getting shot with a crossbow, abdication etc.

TG was nearly there.

First prize a copy each of The I-Spy book of Roundabouts to TG and Bearing
