Welcome to the tank.

How are Rushden & Diamonds getting on this year? Above Kettrin'?

We have a couple of your old players down at the Angels atm.
Late Doors

Yes indeed, welcome young fellamilad (maybe not so young these days though eh? you'll be all grown up an that now)
wewantourdarbyback

Hmmm.

Time for some detective work I guess.
Pond Life

Hello and welcome!!
lebowski

The usual culprits have scared him off haven't they, like over enthusiastic salespeople...
Carp

I never liked him anyway.
bearing

You could all start a campaign to get him back you know...

Call it wewantourwewantourdarbybackback or summat.
Pond Life

Good man, well done Foo

Have you got yours yet? This seems to be taking an age, what is he doing?

I've not, he's less efficient than tizer and that's saying something
smiling badger

Oh, well. A new one,  well and truely scared off.
For a change.
What is it going to be like when LD starts handing out the new Reg cards and thet are turning up here in their droves.
Foos, got to sort this out, people.
Pond Life

If we change the registration form a little, we could include a bit for their postcode. When they sign up, we'll google it, all secretly PM each other, then turn up to their house to welcome them properly.

We really do need to get our collective act together regarding welcoming newcomers.

I don't want to seem harsh, but we do come across as a bunch of inward-looking, unwelcoming cunts.

I'm probably one of the worst offenders as far as unwelcoming 'in-jokes' are concerned.

This is the problem we need to confront and 'manage': how can we best, in this lovely place that is reg, welcome newcomers?

We're a funny and clever bunch so we should be able to sort this fairly  quickly and without too much angst or quibbling.

I disagree Clacks, I can see no sign of anyone being unwelcoming.

'Be yourself' is surely the way to go ? What would be the point of acting like we are not really as mad as a box of frogs ?

The board will grow naturally I'm sure. Just my opinion of course,
Forest

Why don't we move the new registrations thing nearer the top so its more visible, other forums seem to have it there. At the minute its almost the last thing anyone can see when they stumble on here before they're put off by the rest of the bollocks.
Pond Life

Here is my honest opinion.

When this forum started I thought it would be great to have a million users, i tried all sorts of things to encourage people here, on the whole, they failed. In more recent months i have thought that i quite like it as it is. I wouldn't be upset if others joined, don't get me wrong, but having looked at waccoe i am decided that numbers of people can ruin a good thing. As a wise man once said, the internet is a massive place and there is room for every pone. We have a good little community here. If it is a tiny corner of the internet that we meet at, go out find other things then report back, then i am happy with that.

Again, i'm not against new people, but i have lost the drive/concern to get new people here. All are welcome but we do have it pretty good here.

I agree with that entirely.

Fucking rubish!

It's blokes filming the inside of their knobs that's causing all this.

There would have to be something seriously wrong with someone who joins a sight named after a fish, without knowing anyone on it,not being from Yorkshire and without perfect grammar or punctuation.
These people simply don't exist.

Your Jedi mind tricks won't work on me PL
Pond Life

For a Jedi mind trick to work, the intended victim has to have a mind, this could be the limitation in this case.
