Pond Life

Do you know how much it costs to go to America? 96 pounds! Thats how much! where am i going to get that sort of money? I'm not, thats where! So i am never going! Ever!

As Kevin Turvey once said.

Back in the late 90's wandered through it. not much happening at the time a few ppl playing chess and a few deals going on.

Seems a bit out of place with the setting, nice arch.

Never went when I was there, but everytime I see that arch it reminds me of people running through it on that terrible day a few years ago.
Sir Bulldog Craggwood

that picture just goes to prove they do have sunny days occasionally in Tyneside

New York is near the top of my list of places I want to visit, I want to travel to  NJ and find Badabings.

New York is the best place I've ever visited. Know what you mean about Bada Leb, but a friend of mine did the  Sopranos guided tour with her boyfriend when they went to NYC, and she said that it took the better part of an afternoon, and wasn't that impressive. You see the front of Satriales Pork Store, go in the Badabing, and visit an alley where big Pussy met with a Federal agent.

Time is precious in a city as monumentally full of stuff to do/see, and an afternoon is a lot to give up. I'd leave the tour. If you want Sopranos souveniers, there's more than you can point a stick at on Mulberry Street in little Italy.

When my friend went, she said it was a real lap dancing club.

Just been listening to the excellent 'New York City' by Gil Scott Heron. Great song about a great city. That is all.

What are you, some kind of grave digger?

Gideon Coe's just played the whole 12 minutes 13 seconds of "B Movie". What a song.

New album in the New Year and he's mean to be playing at the Wardrobe in February.

Oooh, you could catch him coming out of the closet then.
Butts

He was due to play at the same venue in 2002 and the place sold out and he just didn't turn up. They announced his non-appearance at about 9.30pm. The next thing I read he was in jail in the States for crack possession.

So I guess he's not coming out then?
