The Other Side of the Trax: Stax Volt 45rpm Rarities

Solid collection of b-sides from between the period 1964-1968. Nothing as low class as to be called a filler and plenty of cracking little songs including stuff by lesser known Stax artists such as the raw and very wonderful 'Watchdog' by Dorothy Williams and cuts from the likes of Eddie Jefferson, Oscar Mack, and the impeccably named: Sir Isaac and the Do-Dads. It also includes a track by Johnny Jenkins. A lad who got a lift with his mate up to Memphis from Georgia so that he could audition at Stax. The mate in question drove him up and set up some gear for him. His mate got invited to have a go on the mic...... The mates name was Otis Redding.

Sounds the biz.

It's the bs.
