The Masters 2011

Thursday night, and Rory McIlroy has posted a final score of -7 to lead the field. Loads of players still out on the course though - Woods at level par after 13.

My bet is for Alvaro Quiroz or Martin Kaymer to win. Might hit the bookies tomorrow morning if these hunches don't look too silly then...

Did I read somewhere that for some odd reason you can watch it all for free on Sky, or was I imagining it?

Having a mathematically implausible "at least 250% less than fucking zero" interest in golf, I might have misheard.

I could not, I say could not, believe it when I checked the listings in anticipation, only to find fuck all golf on council telly   . Not bothered about Sky Sports now, fuck 'em. I may even look into fucking them off completely over this.

It's like returning to the 70's or something, 15 minutes each or something on Saturday and Sunday night. Grr.

By the way, I've had a few beers

Thank you for clarifying, Mr Fin.

While I have a fairly basic subscription, I do find the experience rather sordid and unpleasant regarding the way that Sky try to maximise the cash they can extract from you in any way possible.

I liken it to them rummaging through one's pockets trying to extract one's loose change, but occasionally experiencing the unpleasant sensation of them touching one's testes in the process of trying to remove every last penny.

Perhaps they hot-tub with Mr Ryan of cut-shite airway fame?

You should see their website, the various options and numerous different ways they have for reducing your viewing package as opposed to adding to it , are just awesome.

Not really!! I was being sarcastic there!!! It's actually probably a couple of people in a phone box in Mumbai on a number you can't find without employing a private detective!

Is this not one of the crown jewels of council telly like the FA cup final and whatnot?

What the feck is Clacks on about?
Seal

Golf? On the radio? Wouldn't that require some sort of imagination on my part? I didn't subscribe to Sky Cunts, sorry, Sports for years only to end up having to be imaginative! FFS.

You'll get good odds on Kaymer after today.

Hope that brainstorming session helped?

Clacks your not allowed to say brainstorming any more as it might be offensive to epileptic people. It's 'thought-showering'

Bloody repeats on TV   ^^^^^^

McIlroy will do well to hold on. Gripping stuff.

What is McIlroy doing on the 10th? Peter Alliss - 'his brains have just turned to guacamole'.

My word, how cruel is that. McIlory three putts from five feet.

Watching a persons spirit crushed, then all the replays of it was really quite sad.

Hazel Irvine has sunk to all new lows in this house. She constantly makes references to us and we. We have seen so much, we this, we that.
Tank Girl

i just press mute when she starts, i really could not hear another word about the fabled back nine or pulsating heart thumping stuff. and did you know there are three Australians in the mix. and can tiger be the tiger of old.

still, nice to see padraig harringtons little brother win.

I like the way she guided us through Rory's travails with suitable hushed gravity, reminding us just what an unmitigated tragedy and disaster we were witnessing, in case we slipped into thinking it was just a fucking game of golf.

I'm glad the twat Woods didn't win anyway.

Face like a man trying to shit a pine cone even when he's winning.
lolwarlol

I've actually warmed to woods. His off course antics are now providing on course ones. He has proved himself fallible. He is really vocal, telling people not to take pictures, shouting, he is more human now than he was before. I feel sorry for him too. If he'd been the only serial cheater in history it might be different but he's not.
I find the whole Tiger thing fascinating. Here is this Van Halen loving black man that sounds like Eddie Murphy taking the piss out of white people yonking round a golf course in Georgia of all places being followed by a crowd of white blokes urging him on to success.
