The Fall

Not the band, the drama about the police chasing a serial killer in Belfast currently on its second series. I watched series 1 on iplayer in a day, excellent stuff.
Sir Bulldog Craggwood

I was just saying to some pals in the pub tonight that series one was all about the terror and suffering of the victims but series two is more about the psychology of the killer and his bid to justify in his mind what he does and recruit accomplices

That line to his little teenage admirer - "Serial killers are disturbed individuals who commit slow suicide by destroying the lives of others - what makes you think i could do that?"

Interesting angle with the occasional footnotes of The Troubles, police corruption and the viewer knowing the killer being a seemingly perfect professional family man from the outset

I hope Stella Gibson (superb Gillian Anderson) has cause to kill him in some inexplicably painful and drawn out manner

It must be pretty interesting as the Daily Mail is frothing at the mouth at how 'vile' it is.  They seem to hate it more than they hate Branson, Miliband and the working classes

What channel is it on and when? Specifics lads. FFS!

Catch Up or BBC iPlayer.  But for normal people, not you obviously, BBC2 Thursday nights at nine.
Late Doors

Was all set to watch this with a couple of episodes recorded. I'd read about how harrowing it was and i just wasn't up to it. It seemed just a tad too much so we deleted them. I just don't like gratuitous shock and it seemed like it was just that. Maybe watch it when in a different frame of mind. On the bright side i get to be in the Daily Mail club, yayy.

I wouldn't call it gratuitous or shocking, there is violence but it's the slow burning tension that's make it a must watch show.
That and Gillian Anderson is in it.

Must admit, I was almost expecting shocking scenes but they didn't really materialise.  I can understand why some people think the first series is terrifying - and that's from male friends, not just women - but there actually wasn't that much graphic-ness in it, it's more the invasion/intrusion and threat/suggestion without much being on screen.  I'm not explaining myself well here but anyway, it hasn't seemed that shocking to me, perhaps I've seen too many horror films.

I had my fingers crossed Anderson was going to have a Lesbian romp with that Pathologist. Would have made a far better scene given he was hiding in the cupboard. Sadly it never materialised.

That young lass plays a good Lolita role though.

I have decided that this series does give a blank canvass as to how they can exploit Andersons surgically enhanced body. She actually doesn't do anything for me to be honest. Always thought she looks like that bloke out of Above Suspicion:

Has she had 'work' done then H, I didn't know?
Grind

You would've thought she'd've sorted out her rampant gingeritis first.

That bloke out of Above Suspicion? Phwooooar!
Late Doors

I watched the first and know i enjoyed it but can't remember much, hence why i started taping the second. Certainly can't recall it being horrific. Maybe i fell for the mumsnet- daily mail outrage

Ah but you said she'd had work on t'body, thats why I was asking.  There will be very very few actresses who haven't had a nose job, ever, and maybe the same is about actors too.  Every fecker in America who isn't in the Projects has their teeth done

Nose jobs are allowed, I have decided, though Gillian has a weird nose now, I think I preferred the original rather than the remake.

I saw a clip of amanda Holden interviewing Barry Manilow recently.  'Get into plastics' advice has been taken too seriously by those two freaks, he looks like a hobbit gone wrong and she looks like a a Toy Story reject, it's pitiful and desperate.

Nothing obvious, she's just aged and lost a bit of weight. Still would.

Ahh but would you do the decent think and ask if she shaved her muff first. I mean there are limits and a ginger minge is pushing it.
