The Counselor (A Screenplay) - Cormac McCarthy

I've run out complimentary things to say about what an absolutely fucking great writer Cormac McCarthy is so if you haven't latched on to my tiresome evangelising of him on Reg already this screenplay probably won't be of interest to you but for those of you who are a fan of the man and the weird and wonderful landscapes of Arizona, Texas, and Mexico that he breathes life into, and that his fantastic characters inhabit then The Counselor is worth a look. Minimal but razor sharp dialogue from beginning to end. It states on the cover 'Now a Major Motion Picture', I look forward to seeing how this edgy thrilling tale was dealt with for the big screen.

Bring it me when we next meet, pardner?
Forest

Not seen the film but most reviews said it was a turd.

Ooh! It's a trilogy then?

You can take a wheeliebin to a comedy club, but you can't stop him exterminating the audience.

My house was built in 1760. I'm no American!

That's maybe why your electricity supply is so dodgy!

It's tough keeping the kite flying when there's no wind.

I'm going to buy one of these to put on the inside of the (new) garage

and one of these to put on the outside.

Garage - or gatepost?

One would be a better statement than the other (unless of course Grind Towers does not have any gateposts)

Grind Towers is getting a cupola come armed watchtower put on the garage.

* The gateposts keeled over through neglect - I'm slowly building an extremely crappy stone wall instead.

I think it would look much better on the border as you leave your town.
