The Breeders Cup 2009, Santa Anita. California

I'm having an each way on Henry Cecils 'Twice Over' ridden by the up and coming youngster Tom Queally. Tom had his first Group 1 win earlier this year, and I just have a feeling for him in this. And he's drawn well in the stalls. Er, scuse me, don't you know it's rude to walk away when someones talking to you. Come back...........please.

Iím  sticking my neck out and hoping for Zenyatta. Mainly because she is beautiful and I want her to win. Not putting any money on cos I think its going to be a race to far for her ,

Going For Summer Bird in the money stakes (imaginery),   coming good and looking like a dark horse , although he aint   hgfhjgfjgfj

Well predicted LD, and I had 'Twice Over' £5 each way at 12-1, it came third, so it's pub time!

Bad luck mate. Re: Betting on 1st place. I used to do that, but soon learnt that each way bets give you a higher rate of success with some excellent payouts. In This years flat season (which finished on Saturday until next March † ), I've had loads of 20-1 & 16-1 winners on each way bets.

I would only suggest betting on 1st place if you are entirely greedy or money orientated (in which case, you should never, ever, visit a betting shop cos' there are very few people who ever make serious money gambling), or, alternativley, you get a tip straight from a top trainer or top jock which very, very, rarely happens.

To conclude

Each way betting: More wins, less money.

1st place betting: Only if it's an aboslute flying machine of a favorite, or your name is Mrs. Detorri and hubby mentioned something over breakfast. †
