The Ashes 2013

Right, C'mon boys, make us proud again.

That is all, for now

Steady on with the responses lads, ive only got so much time

What an extraordinary match so far. So many nerves, so many mistakes  but what a knock from Agar. Says a lot about Cricket when I reckon every English fan on the planet wanted him to get his ton. Its  gonna be a fantastic series. Seems to have finally settled down down now. Need a good score from one or both in now. *fears no mockers"

I'm "watching" it on a feed here.

For some reason, I've never seen England play at Trent Bridge, but it seems like an interesting Test thus far, to put it mildly. Dodgy dismissal of Trott.

I still haven't forgiven that fucker Bichel for ruining what should have been a perfectly good day out at the World Cup in Port Elizabeth in 2003.

Interestingly poised, especially if the wicket starts getting wayward.

Agar is made from seaweed.

That's quite high up the evolutionary ladder for an Australian.

Naughty Broad!  nono.gif

Should have walked there really. Was funny listening to Boycott's gleeful reaction to the incident though.

Nobody walks in a Test, especially the Aussies who invented the art of staying putt. Obviously I've nowt against the Aussies, a fine sporting nation but its fecking great to see 'em getting wound up when things are going against them. They've only themselves to blame. A ridiculous wasted review for the so called Bairstow LBW and a silly second lbw appeal from Pattinson after a clear edge onto pad just gnaws away at their composure.

What an absolute snorter of a ball form Anderson to get Clarke out as well. That'll have him worried for the entire series

Good lad Bell, what a superb century. One of the best ever Ashes tons

By gum that was tense or what. Boring Test cricket eh?

best not get carried away though, some cracks are appearing in our squad more than the last day wicket at Trent Bridge

Ahh but in years gone by we'd have crumpled or chased the draw whilst failing miserably in its pursuit. At least this lot show a bit of steel however as you suggest, they certainly need to be on their guard.

It's no different to Suarez diving for a pen. We need to show the Aussies how to behave, not act like bigger cunts than they are.

Quite

Given how they're playing at the moment, we couldn't out-cunt them if we tried.

England batsman Kevin Pietersen will not take to the field for the rest of the second Ashes Test against Australia at Lord's because of injury.

Pietersen had a scan on Saturday which revealed he has a left calf strain.

that's the last we'll see of him for three months.

Hope they stop his feckin' benefits. Lazy bastard.

He might be sneaking off to play for his country.

Do they still piss about with the sightscreens at the end of every over?

I used to live a fairly short bus journey (44 or 45 I think) from Headingley and used to nip over sometimes for the last hour's play.

20 minutes of the hour was sightscreen (to me to you, left a bit stop) related activity so i stopped.

I was at a test match many years ago at Headingley when there were still the coconut shys behind the bowlers arm. I was sat there and this bloke behind me was pissing around. Bob Willis had started his run in but the batsman stepped back because this knob head behind us was in his line of sight.

Willis walks up to the boundary and shouts 'look you fucking cunt, fucking sit down. wanker' and walks off to take his run up again.

I hid behind the little screen that is in front of the seats there until he had finished his over then moved!!!!
