Reward for coming 12th in the Olympic medals table.

Will definitely be booking my sisters spare room and painting Wiggo (assuming he hasn't retired) on the road up the Chevin (which sounds a bit French actually).

Sir Geoffrey doesn't like the idea unless they change it such that only Yorkshireman are allowed to compete.

Passed the Town Hall in the limo (52 seats, room for two pushchairs) today and saw this. Loud and proud. 10/10

Heyho

I'm against it I am.

This is fucking Yorkshire. Our ancestors fought bravely to keep the garlic breath tossers at bay.

By the way Dock what the hell has been happening on those Town Hall steps. Looks like the triffids have invaded. Couldn't someone have gone out with a KARCHER power washer and cleaned them down.

Talking of KARCHER power washers my old man rung me last night all excited cos he had just bought one to clean his crazy paving. the thing is his name is K Archer.

Re: Steps. I have put a strong letter in on mine and your behalf. That should do it. Its tardiness. There's no other word for it. There really isnt.

Exciting stuff. Huddersfield and Holmfirth. LD will be cartwheeling. Not just that he will be able to watch it in his home town but also because the area of Kirklees will forever be connected with the histroy of the Tour de France. I will take Joseph Dock along with me to a part of the route. Even if we cant get near the road each town or city will be buzzing on their respective race days. I'm going to get one of those cow bells to ring when they speed past me n' that.

Check the interactive map provided in the link I gave above - it provides the route in detail. You're in luck - it's going up the Scott Hall Road (not a euphemism) towards Harewood.

It's also passing through the centre of Otley.

In anticipation of the Tour's needs, Eddie has bought Boots's entire stock of EPO, steroids, amphetamines and Lemsip. He reckons he's going to make a fortune.

I hope it's not on Market day, the traffic will be a bastard.

Very good point.

While I'm on to the council about that, I'll remind them to avoid the weekend as well. The roads get clogged up with hordes of bloody cyclists tootling along ten-abreast. A right ruddy pain they are. They really ought to do something about it.
Grind

That's twenty blokes for every lass.

They should consider synchronised swimming instead.

Looks like they'll be speeding through Scott Hall roundabout app 8 mins after the start of the whole thing, should be quite a day
