Street, Urban,Stencil, Graffiti art

So what are your views on it?
Do you even regard it 'Art'?
lolwarlol

I like some of it, it is art for me, i like the stuff that makes a point. Or is calling for action. I saw this one once.

bearing

I like it, although I'm none to keen on tagging as it looks a bit pants to me (unless it's tagging the art of course)

One thing that I've noticed is that European stuff (as demonstrated in lwl's post above) seems to contain a lot of English, as though 'our' language is the most succinct way of expressing dissatisfaction.

Any half-indecent German swearword is probably twenty letters long.

What do you call a speeding teutonic mollusc?

Schnell.

If you rated it as superb, on what criterion did it lose a point?

What does vandalism have to achieve to merit a ten?

You're not related to Craig Revel Horwood are you?

Defacing public property is a crime that is why the artist can never achieve full marks in my mind.

Not bad for drawing on the back of a filthy van, hey.
Cutsyke

Some scroate sprayed his name on my wall. I got a phone call from the township, if I didn't clean it off in 7 days I'd get a fine. Guess what I think of graffiti?
Cutsyke

I like that reverse graffiti the load used to do in the tunnels inner ring road. Does he still do that?

Some of its still there but it's fading into the fresh dirt, on the slip road from Woodhouse onto the ring road.

There should be more brightly painted stuff just like the Sponge Bob one above.
Was thinking this the other day on my travels to work whilst going over the Dartford crossing. Loads of grey, drab, big, old oil tanks that are just plain old boring. Surely there are artists out there that could and want to brighten the things up a bit and make them more intersting to look at.
smiling badger

I think that this is beautiful. Done really well.

A straw man of Christian Bale.
Heyho

That's the last straw for me. Bloody graffiti artists.

Finding that Banksy bloke is like finding a needle in a haystack.
