Welcome back.

Did you see any monkeys?

Yes! Baboons at the Cape of Good Hope. Bastards they are, apparently. They get in your car and trash it, looking for food. I'm told there are towns near where they are present who have had to employ people to guard houses against the baboons because they (the monkeys) will wait for folk to go to work, then try to break in.

We saw penguins on the same day too. Never saw a penguin v baboon fight sadly.

Baboons chased my mother-in-law there when I was visiting for the cricket world cup a few years back. Ace.

I also spent eight months in the little karoo where a bloke got arrested for shagging his neighbour's dog.

Twice.

It wasn't even a looker.

You know what it's like though, you get to know them, find you've got lots in common, then one day they give you that come-on look, what's a feller to do?

Big fuck-off spider. That's a 10p piece next to it for scale. Which explains the jittery focus! The fuckin thing ran without fear on to my boot a few seconds later.

You think I'd throw 50p near a man-eating spider? It was 10p I tells thee!
Pond Life

Man eating? You're sure about that?

Steady mate......it's a man eater.

I've seen bigger Great Danes.

Table mountain....

Pond Life

Thats romantic. Should of thrown it at the terror that is the child snatching, blood curdling spider.
bearing

I think you're building this spider up to be something he's not.

It'll all end in tears, you mark my word.

Seconded. Two word's needed here: 'Daddy' and 'Longlegs'. I'm frankly feeling let down with this exagerration Seal, on meeting you last Saturday, I thought you were a lad of stature, and good character, but with this spider episode, in the final analysis, you've been a big fibber!
