Some good news..

My newest addition to my badger set was born into the world last week.
Chuffed to bits and as happy as can be.
After all that happened last week in Paris it made me wonder what kind of world we have bought him into. Kind of took a bit of happiness out of the excitement that i had been feeling for the couple of days previous.
Oh, a little boy by the way. Young, Caleb.

Congratulations and my wishes to you all.

What kind of world you have bought him into?

The Cuban Missile Crisis happened shortly after I was born, when the world was on the brink of a full-scale nuclear war.

I bet the parents of newborns were asking themselves the same then.

Fortunately, the threat of nuclear war currently seems reasonably remote, and the threat of terrorism on the homefront has reared its ugly head. Yet again. These things have a habit of returning.

There's always something that one could worry about. Don't let it spoil you and your family's happiness at this time.

Congratulations Badge.

My dad was called up for the Korean War a week before I was born. Don't think my mum was best pleased. Luckily they called it off.*

There's always shit going on somewhere.

*the war not the birth.
