So how do you like your eggs ?

Lass at work has started keeping chickens. Four of them and they have just started laying at the rate of one per day so she brings the eggs in for us. Anyway had the first of them yesterday in a two egg omelet and they were fantastic golden mega eggy tasting breakfast treat. One of them was a double yoker…first one ever.

So what’s the Reg low down on eggs? Best thing to do with them, any egg related mischief you’d like to tell us about. I seem to remember an egg curry dish once but that doesnt seem quite right does it?

Looks like im going to be a regular recipient of them (hopefully anyway)
Pond Life

Hate them. I'm out.
Late Doors

No problem that just leaves more for us real egg men
Pond Life

Is this an offshoot of the Leeds six or something?

You are the egg men, i am the walrus.

I fancied getting some chickens and one of those hen igloo things for them to live in but Mrs F wouldn't let me.

Poached for me, on toast.
Late Doors

Suspect the neighbours might not be too chuffed either. Yes i likes em poached as well

Any way but pickled.

always buy free range now. The yolks seem to be more orange which i think is a good sign.

mrs f makes yayo schnitze (or something like that). It's Polish. Its like a scrambled egg omelette. Very nice.
grunt

He's only just signed some ridiculous contract with Man City and they've named an egg dish after him.

Poached for me, followed closely by omelette.

We're thinking of getting some Quail, 'cause we're posh you see.

I'm assuming as a true Norn Irish man you'll rub the bacon on your oxters before cooking?

That'll be low man-fat mayonnaise then.
grunt

Can we have less man-fluid in the food section please?
Late Doors

Yes, I can see the Thai ( ) dish based cream of Sum Yung Man gag coming very soon.
grunt

Ooh I love thai curries.
Grind

Sum Yung Man would probably make me gag too.

* Sends chicken mostlyman curry back. *

She's just got some Sky liner hens that produce Blue Eggs. Still taste the same, delish.

Also she's got Quails as well although they are a bit temperamental. especially when getting eaten by the fox. Only one left now but still get a dozen quail eggs every fortnight. A bit finnicky to peel but a nice subtle creaminess to them
wotsfortea

Duck eggs.
Grind

Ha! Missed!
wotsfortea

Duck eggs.
Grind

Damn!
Grind

Like my women: hard boiled.

* There's a better joke in there somewhere. *
Late Doors

Runny, with Soldiers dipping into them ?
