Siege - Simon KernickThey killed her as soon as she opened the front door.
First line from SK's latest page turner, as usual he gets a tight grip on yer bollocks and never lets go. Set in a fictional upper market London hotel which is invaded and locked down by a group of right wing terrorists.
The book then covers just three or so hours to it's gripping finale during which several sub plots unravel around staff, guests and the police.
Plot and pace are what SK is about, I don't know of any other author who does it as well.
Need a page turner for the train, bus or man bag, try this.
