Rugby World Cup

I realise it's nearly all over now. Well at least from a UK point of view with the Daffs being rather unluckily knocked out.

English Rugby seems to be in a bigger mess than football. Their governance is in shreds, the team plays shite rugby , the off pitch behaviour is surly and arrogant.
Apparently most of the population of NZ is pleased to see the back of our 'high spirited' toffs, who clearly misunderstood the reason for being sent over there. Whilst our footballers generally stick to shagging each others mrs and drink driving, the England RU  has so far:

Had two players cited for foul play
Been caught cheating by replacing a ball
Worn branded gumshields against team orders
jumped off a ferry
insulted bar staff
thrown dwarfs
been filmed necking with a 'glamorous blonde'

and there's more to come apparently.

Makes me embarrassed to be English

Hare-zumba-zumba-zumba - as i believe the song goes.

load of shite from start to finish.

Rugby Union has become a dreadful game to watch.

except maybe Shane Williams.

The rest of them are just a bunch of steroid-gobbling behemoths.

All kicking off at work now.

Land Rover has a long established relationship with 'Twickenham Man' and sponsors England Rugby to the tune of about 4m a year.

A publicity photoshoot had been arranged in NZ. Half the PR dept and various hangers on sent over there - total cost about half a million.

Selected players arrived slightly the worse for wear, proceeded to consume every millilitre of alcohol and then demanded to be taken back to the hotel as they didn't fancy it.

Only Banahan was willing to co-operate and the other players took the piss out of him for being so polite and helpful.

Arrogant tossers.

Sponsorship likely to end very soon.

Good, seems they're going the same way as the footballers.  Perhaps they should sponsor Banahan...

*dusts off soapbox*

They showed some footage at the weekend from the end of the rugby world cup.I thought the way in which they arrived back at whichever airport in England was a fucking disgrace. They arrived with their heads down and were hustled into waiting cars like thieves in the night. They are supposedly professional sportsmen who were representing their country, who have no self control and can't lay off the drink and fucking about like school boys for the biggest competition in their chosen sport for a couple of weeks???????? Fuck em'! A total disgrace.

Anybody who takes time to fly all over the world to watch these bozo's and their fellow bozo's in the national football side needs their head checking.

*puts soapbox back in handy carry case and moves on to next sport*

It could have been worse. They could have let that dickhead who jumped off the ferry into a harbour full of diesel fly the plane. Feckin' eejit!
