Royal Ascot

Five days of the best flat racing of the season. Lots of coverage on BBC1 and 2. The two big races for today are the Queen Anne stakes and the Kings Stakes. World Cup and Ascot in the same week, I can't cope I really can't. Ace!

Do you have trouble focussing on more than one thing then Dock?

Some fab racing yesterday, including yet ANOTHER win for Richard Hughes on 'Canford Cliffs'. An amzing horse. Could be a contender for the Arc in T'Paris come the autumn. Some great interviews with trainers and jocks, and all round good footage on the Beeb, but they need to sideline Willie Carson. Great jockey and a great racing man, but he's starting to mix his words up and getting the names of the horses wrong bless im'.

Four more days of ace racing.

Gold Cup day tomorrow. At least another horse will at last get a chance at winning it. For those of you who don't know, for the last four years 'Yeats' ridden by Johnny Murtagh has won it. An un-fer-fucking-believable record. But now he's out to stud (Yeats that is, not Johnny Boy), and it's time for another contender. A great field of horses.
