Watched this on Sky Movies last night. The best British film I have seen in a long time. Based on a true story about how a gay rights group from London took up the cause of the Miners Strike and formed an alliance with a South Wales mining community. Such a great story that I'm surprised I've never heard about it before now but I suppose it wasn't celebrated by the mass media because it was a less-enlightened era. A great cast and a great script. Me and Mrs D were howling at some of the one-liners. Stays on the right side of Full Monty territory without going into Richard Curtis sugary sentimentalism. A real feel good film. And I will never be able to watch Dominic West in The Wire again without thinking of him camping it up to Shirley & Co's 'Shame Shame Shame' in a South Wales Miners Welfare Club. Superb!

Watched it this afternoon, very funny.

Anything with Bill Nighy in is usually worth watching.
