Nyles O Cranium

Wonder why none of them are smiling?

Ace, unless I'm too easily pleased.

They're a real feat of clay

Art is many things to many people.

And this is not art to sheeps.

If the guy had painted those figures would it be art to you?

What is Art? That is a question I have often asked myself.

Went to the Tate Modern a few years ago. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. What I didn't like was the bit of writing on the wall that explained what it was supposed to represent. Well if you can't work that out from looking at it then it's not very good art.

There's good and bad in it. The Angel of the North is fucking ace (although it should be in Leeds), but that bloke who sculpts stuff out of turds is taking the piss.

I'd rather look at modern art than all those pics of blokes on horses in the National Gallery.

Art, like beauty lies in the eye of the beholder..
Just opinions really, just like music. Some like one kind and another is just a bunch of noise to them.
Each to their own.
I can remeber a first date with an ex and we went to the Saatchi Gallery in London. Her being really into her Art, being an Art Therapist, loved pretty much all that we saw in there.
The first peice of 'art' that we saw was a huge paper bag suspended from the ceiling. I just stood there with my trap open and sort of shrugged my shoulders and walked away thinking what the fuck?
I managed to get my head around most of the shit in there but wasnt sold as to lots of it being art.
Like i said, opinions..

Probably.

It's not that I don't understand or appreciate different art forms, they are just a bit Tussauds. I would become bored very quickly with them.
