New Season

I'm quite optimistic about it at the moment. Not that we have spent money or are able to compete money wise with the 'big boys' coming down from the Prem. Just have a feeling that we may be able to do something this season.
Ask me again come January and i will prolly be doing the usual moaning and pondering why we have another new manager!
So what do you reckon fellas?

Lets hope that its a good one for us on and off the pitch.

I'm with you. I have that 'might sneak into the top 6' feeling.

It won't last

oops

I suppose as there are only five from last year's first eleven, then there's bound to be a few 'how do you do my name's Stuart' moments before we get going. Even allowing for that - it sounds like we got a tonking.

Berardi brought off after 22 minutes. What's he been up to over the summer?

I've revised my opinion. We are doomed, doomed.

That was awful

new season, new exciting manager and backroom staff, old excited fans. Pity the players don't get the script

Early days,I said it's early days..
On the plus side there were a few Chinese sitting with our egoistic president making another take over seem a little more possible.

Need a couple of 'been there, seen it, done it' midfielders. Manager must be able to snap a couple up on the old boys network. Too much to expect of the youngsters.

I still think yesterday was worrying. QPR will probably win the league (aka opening match of last season when we played Burnley and then we deserved to win) so to be beaten emphatically by a very average opposition concerns me greatly. I can live with defensive frailties but you overcome that by scoring more than your opponents but we look VERY weak in that department. There was no bite either. Ok continue as you were after going a goal down so early but at some stage you do need to up the tempo.
Late Doors

I know nothing of the players we've bought in but am delighted about three we have effectively shipped out. Not wishing to state the bleeding obvious but we seem a bit light at center half, full back and the goal scoring department, pretty crucial areas I would suggest. Didn't fancy the QPR trip and didnt even bother with the telly (assuming it was on) such is my indifference at this stage but off to Fleetwood on Wednesday to get my first look at them. Will report back.
