Michael Jackson Craven Cottage

Come on Pondy, what do you think? I have come to the conclusion that Al Fayed is totally insane. Maybe the 'smooth criminal' should just 'beat it' and stick to defending 'Dirty Diana?'. Your thoughts as a Fulham fan would be appreciated.

Well, as one fan said on the TV he has pumped 160m into the club, he has taken us from almost certain death to ten years in the Premiership, a European final. If he wants to erect anything at Fulham he has my blessing.

I liked the man long before he was involved in Fulham and this just adds to it. He is eccentric and stubborn. I like that.

When you think of what he has done for the club as a whole and so as a knock on, the local area, when you consider what he has done in the way of the countries economy as owner of Harrods, then consider how shabbily this nation has treated him, refusing him a passport. Some may go as far as him and say his son was murdered alongside Diana

It's quite simple, I'm 100% convinced that without him, there would be no FFC today, let alone the one that sits 10th in the prem, having had its history highlights in the last two years. He is Chairman Mo and he can do little wrong in my eyes.

I think he will be offering you a place on the board with public support like that

He is the King of Fulham - why not have a statue to the King of Pop?

I'm saddened that some fans aare making statements like "Its embarrassing, what has it got to do with football?"  What would Fulham have to do with football if it were not for Al Fayed?
Plastic Man

No-one should underestimate the role of Hammersmith and Fulham Council's planning department in the maintenance of Mr al Fayed's interest in Fulham FC and the club's continuing stay at (a prime riverside site for residential re-development) Craven cottage.

Nuff respect to anybody who invests fully in a football club, but isn't it a bit of a daft place for a statue of Michael Jackson?
