Leicester

No sign of the bubble bursting yet, If you haven't already, watch the highlights of the Liverpool game. Some of their football was just bloody amazing.

So nice when the old order gets challenged and you see one of the big 4/5 getting thumped.

Really hope Vardy gets picked for England ahead of Half Man Half Pizza.

Did you hear the Radio Leicester commentator when Vardy scored the first goal?

Absolutely priceless!!!

(I am currently outside the UK and can not get the audio clips to work to be able to link here. My VPN will not co-operate with the hotel wifi - maybe someone can supply one of these links in a reply below?)

That's the commentary - I heard it on the radio on the way to the airport, but couldn't check if it was the one whilst I was away.

I wonder if he is related to Bjørge Lillelien?

My mate Phil ( a Leicester fan) put a fiver on them to win the league at the start of the season. At 5000-1. He's getting a bit twitchy now.

Actually taking an interest in this now and really hope they can do it. Mainly to piss Spurs off but a real tonic for the PL. Weren't they in the same divisions as us not long ago?

I think the prospect of Leicester winning the petrodollars dominated Premiership was on the cover of Newsweek last week

To quote Bill Hicks - "COVER OF FUCKING NEWSWEEK!"

I see overrated big mouth Harry Kane's attempt at, ahemm... mind games has really put the frighteners on Leicester

Well - my mate Phil is £25k richer now as well as his team having just won the league. I don't begrudge him or them the success. Although this could change if I don't get several drinks out if him.

Good business selling them Schmeichel.........
Heyho

A success story for many lesser clubs - including our beloved Leeds United - to look to and think 'there is a light at the end of the tunnel'.

I don't know the ins and outs of the club but they look to be very well run and the team have a great spirit amongst themselves. They have also made big decisions like the sacking of their manager last year, a manager who had got them up and, despite a dog fight, kept them up. Most that team is down to him.

Of course the difficulty now is sustainability. All those agents licking their lips 'come on Vardy mate you can do a better branding exercise that little old Leicester, fancy a proper club like Liverpool or Man City then'. And another nail driven into a players coffin.

Well done Leicester - now where is there a Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha when you need one.
