Only 51. Really sad news.

Heyho

Yes it is. Sopranos must rank as my favourite TV series of all time. Was clinging on to the hope that they would do another series (or a film).

Well the ending was left open wasn't it.
Nyles O Cranium

RIP, shocking news.

A great actor who's career I followed. I think even though he was the lead actor in the best television series of all time I still think he had career bests ahead of him in film. The character Tony Soprano was hilarious, pathetic, caring, tough, manipulative, a father, a killer, a husband, a thinker, a son, a business man, a good friend, a loyal man, a disloyal man, and an organised crime boss. James Gandolfini could wrap all of those things up and present them in just one episode of The Sopranos. Thanks for eight years of one of the most memorable fictional characters in television history. Think I might rewatch the entire series from Episode 1, Series 1.

Heyho

My wife had a torch for him!!! She rung me to tell me he had died.

Saying that she also has a torch for Idris Elber.

She has always had a poor taste in men.

And a great summing up of his character Dock. A film of the Sopranos '10 years on' would have been a brilliant concept. A TV series even better.

On one hand this is a real shock on t'other it's not really, he was obviously morbidly obese. Most of Tonys crew were too come to think of it.

Great actor, not just The Sopranos. True Romance, The Mexican and I think he was in Get Shorty too.

Never have to look far for a torch in the Heyho household.

Never watched a single minute of the Sopranos, or t' Wire if it comes to that but RIP James, everyone can't be wrong.
Grind

I saw him only last night in Zero Dark Thirty.

RIP
