Howard Hodgkin

Have we mentioned this chap on here? Seem to remember. There is something in the way his paintings sing out to me I can only describe as eary. Its as if he is talking through his paintings and I understand exactly what he is saying. The only other painter Iíve ever had that with is VG himself. Iím not saying Iím some great art lover or anything but those two say the same things to me

I think he knew the meaning of life, if you get my meaning.

He painted as though he'd unlocked the secret to everything.

He also painted a bit like a child at times, perhaps that's his secret...
