How many times.....

.....have I told people.....Salt.....You can put more in but you can't take it out....Well I made a decent enough base today and was bolstering it up with herbs and puree and wine and stuff, and then.....over salted it.  What a tosser.

Yeah me too but I'm a lovey when it comes to sauces etc. I simply shreaked and stormed out when Mrs C said it was salty. Been face in the pillow sobbing most the afternoon.

Isn't there something clever you chefs do to counteract it - chuck in cream or Smash or shredded car tyres or something?

I bet those chefs at the restaurants that Michael Winner reviewed came up with some clever ways of combating the extra-salty flavour of the particular dishes he was served up with.

Yes...Whisk in butter. That will work to a certain extent. Otherwise extend it and freeze the excess.
