Hello Finbar and welcome,

i have only ever heard of one Finbar before and he sat in a pub on the phone ordering lorries to tip their load all over the place and eventually blocked a motorway. He was sacked for that.

Is that you, or are you likely to do stuff like that?
Butts

Hi Finbar, if your looking for fish chat thats part of it but the fish is really just a cloke to drag you in - a bit like the Moonies but without the committment.

All life is hear, and someone called Clacker when he's not in Kos.
Pond Life

Do let us know if you want your own rank.
Fin

Do you have a pet?

Per

Bridewell or Millgarth?
Pint of Old Rosie or a pact with Old Nick?
Have you ever owned an item of clothing or footwear with velcro?
Should it be legal to punch anyone in a baseball cap?
Would you support the introduction of a 99p coin?

Mol - am I correct in assuming that Pontoon is a reference to the Pontoon Bridge Hotel by Lough Conn (I've fished just by there); and the National and Galtymore in Kilburn (the fishing is not so good around there, but I've tried)? If so, mater and her siblings would have been found strutting their groove thang in all three in their youth.

Well spotted sir, it sure is, for they are one and the same. I have spoken at length about the perils of Old Rosie and the Devils work etc to young Per. He must have been seeking a second opinion.

I find the main problem with it, is that it tastes like pop and not scrumpy at all.

We were very silly weren't we.
Mick McCann

Welcome Finbar, sorry I'm late, I got my tongue stuck in the workings of an escalator, it's bit sore.

Fin

Thanks Finbar, I've had it in a cup of salt water all day, that smarts.
Late Doors

How remiss. Finbar, I have just one question. The only Finbar I have ever met was the bar man at Huddersfields Premier Punk Rock Pub back in the day, the Wharfe.  He too had a tash, a droopy affair complete with long lank greasy black hair. The man is a legend amongst us of a certain age and I hope you dont mind if, when I read your stuff I picture you as this droopy tashed manky haired skinny Irish Piss Pot. Is that ok?
Fin

is that ok?

it's uncanny
Sir Bulldog Craggwood
