I have a bad feeling I'm going to fuck this up and be pointed at.

Oh well........

1) Cheeky twat! That's 2006/7? I bought 32 of these for my outdoor footie team and I occasionally use it to referee kids' games if I can't be arsed to dress up proper like. To the best of my knowledge, there are no differences between the replica and "genuine" shirts.

2) Again, you cheeky twat! At a guess (simply based on the badge?) I'd say we definitely had something like that between about 1977 and 1981. I reckon 1978/9 is a safe bet then? I'd assume the genuine versions have the badge directly embroidered into the shirt (I don't have one of these).

3) One of my favourites. !993/4 and 1994/5. The replicas have slightly larger embossed badges, whereas the genuine shirts are directly (and very nicely!) embroidered into the shirt. I've a couple of these, including the green/blue one season wonder.

4) 1997/8 (I'm pretty sure this was a one season job). This has a quite subtle difference - there is a registered trademark (R in a circle) as part of the Puma logo.

5) Another favourite. 1986/7 and (possibly) 1987/88 too (unless the switch to Top Man was earlier than I remember?). I guess the most salient feature is that this wasn't available in long sleeves to Joe Public. They also didn't change their kit that often, so there aren't oodles of these around.

* Bets he's fucked up on at least one. *

Kit 4 is what I said it was in terms of year - but I got the difference wrong (I was thinking about the nasty yellow one with the round neck).

Bollocks.
Grind

Kit 4 also has the directly embroidered Leeds badge.
Forest

Don't know why I always associate certain players with a shirt but No 2 to me is Arthur Graham, 3 is Tony Dorigo and 5 is John Sheridan. That is all.

We'll take turns.

I know I've said this before, but I really should put up some pictures whilst I still remember what's what.
