Foo, it's back!

Friday night rugby.

A game of controlled violence and Stella in t' fridge. Perfect start to the weekend.

Tell you what, how about a RL Fest? Go to a rugby match instead. Fev Rovers would be best.

I was at a St. Patricks Day dinner at Headingley yesterday afternoon and the Leeds Rhinos star Danny McGuire was in attendence. I was seeing some of my guests out afterwards and DM was waiting for a lift to take him down four flights of stairs. Four flights? Not much of an athlete if you ask me. I didn't pass on my thoughts to him as I'm quite happy with how my head fits nicely on to my body and I'm quite keen to keep up this physical arrangement.

Frankly, yes. I remember watching teams like Bradford Northern, Wakefield Trinity, Cas, and Batley (it was more or less nowt to get in so you could afford to travel to matches anywhere in the region even as a youngster) when I was a kid and I'm sure the crowd weren't as rough/subnormal. But alas, it seems that in Leeds, as elsewhere in England, lazy people dress like athletes.

54 - 26 or summat. Went with the two Pauls [one of which is called Eddie] cracking afternoon, Sun belting down, supping on the terraces, beer from The Pie Bar, in the players bar after rubbing shoulders with RL greats.

The end.
Late Doors

Decent final  I thought. Leeds made a fist of it and it was evens for a while.  Sinfields kicking had a very rare off day, Leeds made two mistakes that were punished and as always Wigan got 90%of the 50-50 decisions.
Not much of an atmosphere Friday and Saturday and plenty of empty seats. it looks like the Challenge cup final is losing its appeal. Wrong time of year. People skint, no continuity in the rounds, Time for a rethink on it.

Great weekend as always in that there though, spent most of it in and around Pimlico. Nice area and some fab pubs
Dock

The Beeb spoke to Brian McDermott after the match. I don't think I have ever seen the manager of any sporting team as gutted as he was. But he managed to keep a stiff upper lip without breaking down. Just.

Wow super Rhinos or what and what a kick again to win it, brilliant. Lets hope they can put in one more super show. Nowt against Wire but terrific to see their party spoiled

I passed the back gates of Headingley Stadium yesterday and there was a big poster up advertising season Tickets. 200 for an adult. Fucking good value for that high level of a sport innit. I had no idea it was still such a low cost. I think for kids its was summat like 80 a season. Bloody bargain in anybody's book.

Kids get in to away games free on their season tickets.

Pricing is to a degree dictated by the supporters. Only my opinion but if they had to pay football prices rugby grounds would be all but empty by comparison. More power to them though.

At Fev it's something like 130 for an adult season ticket and you get a free first team shirt thrown in.

I know, imagine a team finishing no where near good enough to win the league a million miles behind super league struggling.

I shall have look see who ended on top of the league that Widnes were average in, oh and I wonder if they also won that divisions play off.

Possesion of what? Bad taste? I'll never understand people going to a shopping centre like Xscape for a night out, especially in a cow town like Castleford.

PS Does he By chance drive an Austin? Cos then it could be known as Rangi's Rover. Geddit? I love making shit car-based super league puns me.
