Scuse me scuse me. There is a sports section for this kind of thread. If we don't have rules we have anarchy. It's the thin end of the wedge, it really is.

just heard there's to be a new event in the 2012 Olympics,Haddock battering.
You need a little Haddock smaller the better, then you need a team of 5 batterers.
Please put your name forward if you want to be considered for the team.
All i need to do now is find a little Haddock, any body know where i might find one.

I actually like it all except for the pretend Olympic sports like tennis and football. Even though I love cycling I donít think its much of a spectator sport until the finals, same with swimming. Otherwise ill watch it all. Favorites are the relays especially the 4 * 100s, middle distance races, table tennis, triple and long jumps, javelin and bizarrely the bowling which I find strangely compelling

I'm with you Forest. As long as it's ladies only.

Can't stand the synchronised swimming. They look ridiculous with their nose clips, underwater make up, silly little hats and fixed vacuous grins.

and the dressage. mrs fc applied for Olympic tickets for just about every sport and that's the only ones she got. Not bloody surprised really.

Anything where you have to rely on judges for a score isn't a sport. imo.

Reminds me actually of when I was 14 - I dated an Olympic athlete from Idle, Bradford. Lovely blonde lassie by the name of Emily - was the best riflewoman in Britain or one of them anyway

wonder what happened to her - was very keen on becoming a doctor as I recall - sadly she didnt let me play doctors and nurses with her
