The old PL hates eggs with a passion.
Grind

I'm quite ovary fond of eggs.
sheeps

Stupendous meal.

Chips have to be properly fried, two eggs, and you are looking at min. two slices of bread and butter.

Brown sauce.

Only if you don't cook the eggs properly.
Late Doors

What about hard boiled egg and chips? that is very wrong as well, as is omelette and chips. Fried egg and chips though, perfect. We get ours from a lass at work who keeps Chucks (think i started a thread) and you can really taste the freshness and egginess. She fed em croissants once and i swear you could taste that in the eggs they laid.
fartcatcher

eggs have got to have skins on top of the yolks though. Can't stand those yaggy bits that aren't cooked properly.

He might have meant sausages.

There again, seeing he's from Norn Irn, he might have meant hostages.

I had assumed chops, on the basis that even for a Scot, chips might too closely a vegetable and not be fried deep enough.
Tank Girl

And not just any chips. English hating, Scottish chips!

(I assume McCains indicates Celtic fraternity of some sort.)

McCanadian - hardly of 'Nanook of the North' stock, methinks. Mark my words - the hatred still burns bright. Of Scottish ancestry, no doubt, turfed off their croft by some unfeeling English landlord bastard.

*Talking of turfing off by some unfeeling English landlord bastard... Eddie - can you make sure that the blind Girl Guides camping in the lower field have paid all due fees... in cash. If not... please guide them (did you see what I did there?) to the exit by the light of your torch...*

**I forgot - they're blind. Don't waste your torch batteries**

Topatoes, obviously.

Listen!!!

Egg and chips is a meal in it's own right and should not be bastardised by a sausage or any other foodstuff.

Egg       and        chips.

That's a proper diet. It's no wonder Dock gets no respect on here.

No bread and butter though, and I was promised bread and butter [WFT].

It was proper chips from the pan though, fried in Slimfast.
