Early Signs.

Joking apart they're not good are they?  A massive gap where our goals should come from, a striker already getting stick and from what i have seen maybe justifiably , a brittle craftless midfield and a defence in pieces. On top of that a coach straight out of weatherspoons with a penchant for almost Cantona/David Brent type bollocks

Got some good young lads but it certainly looks like some quality experience is urgently required. I'm sure MC/BC know that but knowing and doing are two different things, , as we, err, know.

Not very inspiring is it? A wacky owner and a nobody manager is hardly going to attract the gaps that need to be filled, hence Ross Mac leaving and others not rushing to ER.

Still, rather this to having a cnut like Bates at the helm.
Frazier Cranium

Ooooo don't point out anything that isn't rabidly optimistic and positive about Cellino's Leeds United as you will be condemned as being miserable, negative and wishing the worst for our team
smiling badger

Or just damned foolish for wanting anything to do with anything LUFC.
Frazier Cranium

Ha.

That wasn't a dig at anyone on this forum btw.  When indeed there IS anyone on this forum.
Sir Bulldog Craggwood

I'm just worried MC only appointed DH because they both like a bit of beak
Sir Bulldog Craggwood

They both look like they've done a lot of beak
smiling badger

Hocks looks the type to sell it from the back of his motor..
fartcatcher

I can't imagine DH and MC having any sort of meaningful conversation. Perhaps they won't.

Still waiting for my membership card to come through. Starting to worry that it's gone towards paying of MC's VAT bill.
Frazier Cranium

Cellino is reportedly on holiday at the moment. That's the manager of our club taking a break during possibly the most important pre-season for the club for eons.  That's the owner/manager who nauseatingly slagged off Brian McDermott for taking holiday (compassionate leave) when his mother had died, while Cellino claimed he had no knowledge of this and was on TV asking 'Where's Brian?' .

They talked for 6 hours when they met - ok maybe it was Massimo doing most of the talking but they talked

Depends what your definition of holiday is - he'll be having the billionaire wading in the sea on the mobile-phone and sending faxes from the villa sort of holiday. With the amount of his family money thats gone in so far I'm sure he'll be taking a lot of interest in whats going on and will be as hands-on as possible.

The apparent situation with McDermott was he was (perhaps understandably) uncontactable by phone and i think he'd been itching for and tempting a dismissal with a severance package for some time
Frazier Cranium

The guy acted like a complete shit, LR.  Cellino that is.

And your team manager should not be taking a holiday during pre-season.
Dock

They haven't even kicked off for the first game of next season and you lot are already giving it the usual unsubstantiated rhubarb about he said she said and who did what to who. It's all knackers really isn't it. Leeds fans make these two look like the height of discretion. Stop it!

He certainly did - but he also should have shifted him on long before he did - in that he was perhaps trying to give him a chance

He owns the gaff and pays the bills - whilst its disappointing he isn't here and hands on, he can holiday whenever he wants

You can't say he hasn't been active in the transfer market - maybe he's scouting or negotiating or showing some club or agent he's not bothered with that asking price.

He is a very canny man Cellino - he's got two brains (albeit both crazy and just as well because no-one seems at home with our Dave)

Hardly the poimnt though is it?  Never mind, I'm not here for a week so carry on defending his actions, some of which I consider offensive to say the least.  It's only opinion, we supporters want him to succeed, but some doubt he will, especially when he contradicts so much of his own spin.

And Dock, just go mind your own business, this thread isn't for you.

haha! Like when he said he just wanted British players?

ok I'll take a break too! Good luck with the book

Ave Caesar Massimo!
Frazier Cranium

Thanks LR, perhaps I should have posted a or or two, I've no intention of falling out over this lot of bollocks

Tom Lees has left the LU building too I hear.

Yes sir.

PS which one are you? Cissy or Ada? So this is a super serious subject is it? Have a day off will ya. I wonder what the children in Gaza think about the new owner of Leeds United. Give me a fucking break. It's a football club. "Serious stuff this Dock, for us REAL men to discuss". I'll leave you all to it. Try not to get those knickers too twisted boys. This forum is fucking dead anyway. Fuck it. People used to laugh on here.
Frazier Cranium

I do fucking hope you are joking there.  What a thing to say, on a thread about Leeds United, a subject you have often said you are not interested in.
Frazier Cranium

Yeah fuck it.
Sir Bulldog Craggwood

What a poor quality implosion! I was at least hoping for a good row!

Come back you two! Come baaaaaaaaaaaack!!!

pointof Order... The Gazza whites will be very interested in what's going on.

Might have told this little story before if so soz but its one that sticks with me.

Down in that there London one weekend for a game at Loftus road. It might have been Fulham we played there. It was pre mobile phone days ( for me anyway) so i walked up from Hammersmith on my own calling in here and there on my way. By the time i got to one of the pubs by Sheppard's Bush tube it was full of Leeds fans and man u were playing on the telly. A few London reds were watching it with their cockney white mates and i recognised a Leeds mob at the far end of the pub fronted by a shifty little ratty twat well known for shithousing. I saw the signs straightaway and ensconced myself some way away at the bar. Sure enough within half hour the chanting had turned uglier, up went a table in went the bottles followed by a surge as the man u fans fled to the door.

They weren't causing bother and didn't look like they wanted any. Their cockney white mates argued with the mob and that too turned into a scuffle. Meanwhile another little mob of older Leeds lads took exception with the original mob and that too turned into argy bargy followed by a full on brawl. Tables went all over, breaking glass everywhere before it spilled out into outside. The pub was in a state as me and a few others at the bar tried to remain incognito. One local lad looking stunned said "facking Leeds fans eh? Ran out of people to fight with so they facking fight themselves"

I've got a dozen similar tales from over the years. No other club in the country is anywhere near like ours for this. I've seen as much Leeds v Leeds bother as Leeds v other. Not saying that little internet spats are anywhere near that but there is definitely something about following our club that brings it out.
Heyho

I always remember when Leeds played Bradford at Odsal. First some lads next to me starting telling me they were off to burn the chippie van. A few minutes later it was alight. Then the missiles started flying. There were hundreds of Leeds fans forced to turn around 180 degrees to avoid being hit by a half Charlie. One lad near me did get hit. His head was a right mess. And who was throwing bricks at the Leeds fans. You've guessed it - more Leeds fans
smiling badger

OC and Dock is hardly Leeds in fighting is it?
One loves the Club and is passionate about it big time and the other couldnt give a flying fook even if LUFC ceased to exist.

Dock, dont take things too personal, man.
Just your constant sniping at those of us that moan like any other football supporters of any other club just wear a tad thin.
Late Doors

well no of course not, hence "Not saying that little internet spats are anywhere near that"

Made a few signings that on the surface seem good ones although there is an "unknown" element about them. One thing is for sure, compared to Bates and the GFH lot this fella is a blooming Saint. Bonkers, in a good way and cant help liking him. Yeah he's up for scrutiny but so far he's SAID mainly the right things.
smiling badger

Funny, i kind of have no great expectation for us to do much. Saying that i cant remember the last time that i did have great expectation to do much!
But for a change i'm kind of excited about the start of this new season.
A nut case new owner who seems very passionate about what happens on and off the pitch.
A new squad with the mixture of young and old players and a few new Italians thrown into the mix who im sure have no idea what playing at Millwall is going to be like no matter what people have told them!
Exciting times and really looking forward to it all unfolding. Ask me if i'm still excited come December and i may not feel the same.. MOT!!
Sir Bulldog Craggwood

Its great we are signing up a few promising young players who will have been coached and brought up the right way

I ask you how did it end the last time we started splashing out on big names like Rio, Fowler, Viduka, Keane etc?

Very badly indeed
