Derby (h)

Maybe a bit premature (and controversial) but I have seen a marked improvement over the past few weeks since Steve Evans arrived.

Don't get me wrong but we are no world beaters but we are now fighting back. Derby are a good team who have challenged for promotion for the past few seasons and may well get it this year. Last night we were on the rack for the first 25 minutes or so but we changed our game plan and structure (especially in the second half) and we competed, and at times out played, Derby. There has been that increased fighting spirit and at times some good football.

I am certainly not deluded and think we are worthy of challenging for a play off/promotion place especially as we will no doubt lose a player or two in January but with astute replacements (including a proven goal scorer) there is room to build on.

Not often a born pessimist says that and my pessimism says the owner will derail things (he's been very quiet recently).

Dead right H. 12 points out of 18 during the crucial month of December. We got three when we last went down and that killed us. I have no doubt we would have had the same under Rossler.

Good to hear. Haven't really enjoyed the football at ER since Grayson went. May have to get off my arse.

I wouldnt say the football is exciting but i dont feel cheated anymore

Just watched it here - we certainly weren't horrible. Forum Index -> Leeds
