9pm kick off? I hope you've got your vest on young man.

We moved up a place. Yay!

Very nearly a total disaster. It seemed the whole world was against us especially lady luck in front off goal and whoever the ref was getting his instructions from. I knew straight away he was going to be one of those little shits who simply isn't going to be intimidated by the home crowd. He was an absolute disgrace, two clearer penalties you will never see. No problem with theirs it was a silly mistimed tackle but the two we should have had were even more blatant.

Not a bad show on the pitch though and again we should have bagged the three points against an in form team. The one thing that just might save us this season is the attitude of the players, well most if them. You cannot fault the work rate one bit and the desire to get back into the game was terrific.

Antenucci is my biggest worry. The fucker just does not know how to pass to someone in a better position. Three times he ignored young Sam to his right. I know he's a striker and desperate for goals but he should be more aware and he certainly needs to be stronger in the box. We do not need a fine weather plenty of space needed type of striker at this point.

Cooper despite his propensity for slip ups should take complete charge of the back five including the keeper. He needs to step up because he is by far our best defender and should not be subservient to Bellusci. They both need to know that.

Murphy is a waste of time in our half  and needs to exploit his forward abilities much more. Look what he did when he got into the box on Saturday. He could have had another as well.

Austin although a solid simple performance should be fined every time he attempts a shot or a pass longer than ten yards until he gets the message that both ambitions are futile delusions for him.

If cook and Sam can learn how to deliver the end product of their brilliant possession they can both play at the highest level.  That also requires players around them making runs and getting into good spaces. Both had good games and with better options around them to make a pass easier could have been match winners.

Morrison had another decent game but I do wonder if his headers, touches and short balls in general are to anybody in particular or just into the space he sees in front of him.

I worry about Redders ability to read a game and apply the correct subs at the correct time as well. He seems incapable of mixing and matching his pool if available players both as the starting 11 and during the course of a game.

It's getting increasingly fraught with the number of winnable games getting less. We have to start winning the difficult ones and they don't get any more difficult than the next three. I know we have the players to keep us safe, i know they have the right mentality. it's all about how they are used and how much they sharpen up in the opponents penalty area. Wouldn't harm to stop the two or three obligatory cock ups in our box per game as well. Otherwise well be errr, fine.

Great write up LD.

I think some sort of implant that gives Austin an electric shock when he tries something ambitious, is called for. Like they have in sci-fi fillums.

Preferably up his arse.

Brilliant write up as per usual LD but I may have to disagree with you on the players attitude.

Agreed we have 2-3 really good youngsters who could easily step up and play in the Premiership for the likes of Everton. These kids need protecting though. But I'm also seeing a set of Italians who seem brilliant at talking a good game (and deserve an A* for gesticulating) but lack any real bollocks at all when you have to roll up yer sleeves and battle hard. If that fat cunt up front spent more time getting stuck in rather that trotting around the pitch and hiding behind players he might produce more.

I think we are trying to play football to get us out of relegation. Won't work especially when a club plays 5 in mid field and stifles us.

Sorry LD but I'm worried.

LD, I could understand why it 'looked' like a penalty when Cooper challenged for the ball, but I'm still not dissuaded - he got the ball first, just, and then the player went down.  Obviously I'm not the only one who thought that but in my defence, I am not biased

Play like that in each game and we won't get relegated.  Issue is, can they play like that each game?  Alas, nah!

By Italians i presume you mean Silvestri, Bellusci and Antenucci. I said i was worried about the latter, i don't think attitude is the keepers main weakness which leaves us with Bellusci. He has plenty of attitude alright just maybe not the right kind, ill grant you that. The rest of that squad on Saturday and before had bags of the right stuff.

Cooper may have got a slight first touch, dunno but even if he did, lunging into a tackle like that was sloppy. All he had to do was usher the lad wide away from goal in the direction he was going anyway was how i saw it.

Sloppy maybe but still wasn't a penalty though
