Heyho

Black fucking Friday

Load of yank shite.

Tried three sites to get an Xbox for son for crimbo and they are all down due to high demand.

Well get yer fucking site sorted out tossers.
Dock

I think this Black Friday thing needs banning. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Look at the link:

It's just stuff FFS! Why do people go so nuts. It's a damning indictment on the place we are at in our history as a species if you ask me.................................................I know you won't n' that.
Frazier Cranium

I don't need to ask you Dock, you've already told us, and what's more I agree, with you both.  All getting slightly embarrassing being a part of this society, innit?
Heyho

It seems to have escalated out of all proportion only this year. there was little of this hype 12 months ago.

We will be adopting thanks f'ing giving and the 4th of July next.
Frazier Cranium

Adopting children with those names would be really going too far.

I was reading on the YEP website about cheap flat screen telly’s selling out in an hour at one of the ASDA’s in Leeds. The thing that gets me about all this is those who are fighting over the £100 flat screen telly’s have probably got a TV at home that works perfectly. It’s fucking greed, plain and simple. As for LD’s Knackerknobbyness about “Aren’t supermarkets fascinating” in the Aldi thread, I couldn’t agree less. The kind of behaviour that has been widespread today is in no way fascinating to me, on the contrary, I find it disgusting. Shame on the lot of em’……………………especially LD!*

*Only kidding yer big Gig-Monkey!

I think Matt Johnson described GB as the Fifty-first state in one of his songs.

We follow them like sheep.

And we don't even get Thanksgiving Day off.

Tweeted that exact same sentiment this a.m., Heartland, 51st State.

Hopefully, you'll be happy to know our family spent $12s today, art supplies for the eldest's school project. I put $10s in the donation tin at the Raptor Trust where they rescue and rehabilitate injured birds of prey. Had a nice potter about and a natter with a couple of volunteers who were helping out there. Few photos here if you're interested. Great place, funded by donations.

Haha! Fantastic

There's no need to follow the crowd but some are just too daft to do different

We had a fucking White Wednesday and the electricity is still totally nadgered (I'm using a petrol generator to "run" the house) - but at least the web seems to be accessible now, although I suspect it's liable to go down as I write this.

Why do I live here again?!

We thought you were in exile.

I wouldn't give a fiver for those shite Polaroid TVs, people fighting over tat, bloody ridiculous.

Heard a great review of said TV from someone, they suggested it was like watching a Samsung through a bathroom window.

Wow! So it wasn't even decent kit they were scrapping over? Fuck them. I thought they were morons before but that concludes it for me. If I was a gambling man (leave it) I'd bet that a lot of places back out of it next year. Overall it makes the stores that take part in it look tacky. Again for the record, fuck them! The retailers, and the wankers who fight with their fellow men and women over products they don't actually need.
Grind

Power back now - just shy of three days without with about eight inches of snow to deal with.

Quite chuffed with the generator though - it got through something like 12 gallons (US - which is about 10% less than the imperial gallon) of petrol per day for a maximum output 7kW model with a clever "ECO" feature which ramps the wattage down based on demand. Twelve gallons costs about $35 at the moment, so not too bad, all things considering.

Next door has an automatic 15kW "whole house" thing that uses propane - he reckons it costs $200 per day to run.

Didn't spend any Black Friday money though - total result!
Heyho

That £100 shite TV suddenly becomes a £175 on fleabay
Grind

It's Cyber Monday and, I'm sad to report, the Grindstress is going consumer crazy.

Fecksocks.

So we've got Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday

http://www.givingtuesday.org.uk/

Recycle Wednesday?
Grind

I think it was something like Small Business Saturday here over the weekend too.

Maybe Wonga Wedgie Wednesday?
Frazier Cranium

It's See You Next Tuesday.

I referee a co-ed team called that who play, you've guessed it, on Tuesday nights.
