Bike Wankers

My Christmas present this year is going to be a Hybrid bike. Already got a nice Trek road bike but I want a comfy bike for plodding about town on, after we move.

Waiting for the sales. Want to spend around 250. Any ideas, experiences good or bad?

My fifth best mate, Stewart (used to be fourth but that is a long story involving a camping trip and a cucumber) said for that budget go to Halfords.

Cheers innit.
Heyho

I got a Voodoo Hoodoo from Halfords a couple of years ago. Bit more expensive than you want to spend but they do a hybrid vesion of it (I think).

Only thing was I had some issues with the gears so I took it to the local bike shop, Ended up having to have several new parts including an expensive chain. Was a bit miffed especially as the bloke said that the chain was not what the manufacturer would have supplied with the bike. So just be careful with Halfords.
Plastic Man

I have a Trek hybrid (I think its a 7.3 series) which I bought second hand a few years ago. I'm a pleasure rider, so it's a great bike for what I want.
Late Doors

Don't really know much about buying new bikes to be honest. If i were to do it I'd check out the CTC website first although i think they call themselves something else now. Dont know if you have to be member to access it either. I let mine lapse this year as well. Big help eh? Soz

I am far too lazy for cycling, cost me a bike to find out.

Not sure about the title of this thread. Here's a thread some of us novice cyclists contributed to. Maybe you can get some tips from this:

Thank you . Halfords in the sales and hopefully a reduced Carrera Crossfire 2 will be on budget. Mrs C likes my helmet so no worries on that score. Moving on 6th January so you may have to get used to my absence again on here.😀
