I agree with you LD re popularity.  But BullDawg has a mission to get loads of Twitter followers. I recently started a new Twitter account because the timeline on my old one had become cluttered. As an experiment I started deleting the 400 people I was following just to see if they would unfollow me and that's exactly how it worked, more or less instantly people got flouncy and stopped following me. In the final analysis the imagined camaraderie of Twitter and Facebook is fickle and falser than Barry Manilow's face.

Re Fenn St mob. Remember the film where they all went on a school trip and had a dance at the end with a load of Prep school lads? And that thick lad made friends with some accordion-playing fair folk of the road. John Alderton and Derek Guyler in a much gentler era. Although I always found it worrying that the school system of inner-city London was so poor that the pupils had to stay on well into their thirties.

Never bothered Jimmy Saville, the despicable tracksuit-clad vile bastard!

Jimmy Saville was invented in Leeds FACT! As were tracksuits and the age of train!

Perhaps oddly, it was only the older actors in these series who achieved any further modicum of interest in their later careers. Outside these series, I can't think of anything that the characters portraying the school children can be remembered for.

So who is still surviving?
