Being Liverpool

I can't imagine this show isn't running (and running a few episodes ahead of the US) in the UK and I must admit I enjoyed it a bit more than I was expecting.

Brendan Rodgers has always come across as a decent bloke who thinks hard about the football and footballers he likes to use and the first episode on the idiot box yesterday confirmed what I had suspected about him.

I'm not fan of Liverpool other than the style of play they used to pursue back in the seventies and eighties (not that I would've said so at the time, like), but I can't help wanting to see Brendan Rodgers succeed.

I'm probably alone on this one, eh?!

Did BR have a giant art thing of himself in his living room, or was it of someone else?

That was a bit strange.

I was also wondering about the recent allegations about SG knocking up a teenager. Don't suppose they'll talk much about that, eh?

I like him and what he started at Swansea and would love to see an English team playing a passing style game and winning in Europe*

Except if it was Manure
sheeps

Liverpool have lost a lot of credibility over the last 18 months. I was convinced and said so at the time the KD was not the man for the job. My Liverpool supporting mates the majority of which have never been to Anfield would have none of it.

OK he won the Carling Cup but it cost him 100m in average footballers and the handling of the Suarez thing was beyond piss poor, he should have been sacked as soon as the players ran out at Wigan in those T shirts.

Well anyway, I allway's respected L'pool as a club with the right attitude and ethic but it has taken a hit as far as I am concerned, I shall watch this though hoping that at least a little of my former respect and admiration can be restored.
Late Doors

I doubt it sheeps, like you ive always respected the reds, team, club and fans but that old aura will never come back, to anyone in top flight football now.
Sir Bulldog Craggwood

at least there'll be no sentimental attachment when it comes to binning Brendon like there was with Kenny

I do like Liverpool but 150m to beat Cardiff on penalties? and even then they had to get Stevie Gerrard's cousin to miss
