Bands of Brothers

It must be quite difficult being the less talented sibling in a band.

Creedence Clearwater had John and Tom Fogerty. John wrote the songs and played guitar, Tom drunk himself to death.

Dire Straits had Mark and David Knopfler. Mark looked like a particularly ugly gnome and like Guitar George he knew all the chords, whilst handsome but talent free David stood like a statue on stage.

Noel Gallagher - dry Manc wit and an ear for a tune, Noel - a stroppy bellowing twat

Beegees - big brother Barry seemed to run the show, allowing toothsome, goat-voiced Robin into the band as it was the only way he was likely to ever get a shag.

Brian Wilson was a musical genius, Dennis looked good on a surfboard.

Bit hard on Noel G is that, great lyricist imho.

And Dennis Wilson's solo work was pretty damned good by all accounts (not yours) though I haven't heard any of it.

Ah, you typed Noel twice, you meant Liam.  Well, much as I don't love him or his neeeeyaaaaah voice, he's a great frontman.

Well spotted Codge!

Was a bit harsh on Dennis Wilson. There was a lot of competition.

Shaun and Paul Ryder. PR always seemed ok having his brother as the lightening rod for press and public attention. Forum Index -> Pump up the filter
