Saw a poster for this today. I will defo give this a look. I remember all the weekly flyers from when I used to go nearly every week in the early 90's. Great artwork for the best club I have ever been to.

I've heard so many people say how great BtB was it must have been. How does it compare with the Hacienda? another place everyone goes on about

posters look good on the link

The Hac was more famous as a venue and had a history of live music as well as the house music it later became famous for. The house music at the Hacienda was great but nowhere near as cutting edge as Back to Basics. B2B was for most of its regulars an attitude rather than just a night out. I always thought of it as Leeds "best known well kept secret". Its hard to sum it up in a few nifty paragraphs but take it from me LD it was a brilliant club. At its height there was only probably Sabresonic in London and Slam in Glasgow that were anywhere near as good as Basics. It was an important part of growing up for those people lucky enough to be a part of it. Like I say, really hard to summarise in a post on a forum but it was the mutts nuts! Its run for every Saturday night for over twenty years. First it was 10pm-3am then when the 24 hour drinking law came in it upped the ante to 10pm-6am. Not for the faint hearted!

Happy 21st Dave! Providing the people of Leeds and beyond with nonstop bodyrock every Saturday night for the last twenty one years. Saw this interview in todays YEP. Thanks for the memories Dave lad!

FFS! Grunt's the best poster.

He's told us many times, so it must be true.
