Arnold Palmer - Dead

I've never been a golf fan and never will be. But he's died. That is all.
Grind

He'd been feeling under par.

Must admit that I don't really follow golf that closely either, but he seems to have been a genuinely decent bloke and did much to make the spoiled walk more popular amongst the badly-trousered masses.

* Hits bloody windmill. *

It's a good point FC. I think golfing threads are appallingly shit. Considering it's usually the more affluent kind of arsehole that wants a golf club membership, it proves the point that money can't buy style.

I was listening to the excellent 'Last Words' obit show on Radio 4 today. The format is eulogies of interesting/ famous people who've died. A bloke today said that Arnold Palmer was, and I quote: "The most important man to ever pick up a golf club". And that he was the most important man in the history of golf due to his prowess on the links (I know all the lingo me) syncing with golf being televised for the first time. Made a shitload of money in business as well according to the programme.
