Four part documentary series on Sky Atlantic. Oliver Stone interviewing Vlad in meetings over a two year period. Compelling, candid, and personally for me perception-altering regarding what I thought I knew about Putin. Real food for thought stuff, and includes a quite surreal scenario of Stone showing Dr. Strangelove to Putin who had never heard of the film. Really worth a look. And hats off to Stone and team for getting this kind of access.

I think he was rather enamoured of Vlad was our Ollie

Significantly better though than when Vladimir ran rings around Megyn Kelly

I couldn't work out if Stone did like him much. I can see what you mean though. There were some pal moments. I thought his questions were superb. As were Putin's answers. He's a seriously intelligent and intellectual bloke.

Anti-Sky but ok with going to watch a football team that benefits from the money earned from an online betting company that sponsors the club. And also as a fan aspiring to get into The Premiership with all its wealth that comes directly from Sky television. Might be an idea to give that moral compass of yours a tap every now and then LD.

Don't think I'm moralising. If I am it's a purely personal issue  but it's a Fair point though. It sticks in the ol' gullet a bit. Gambling is out of control these days. Even Good ol' Hudders Town, the " Yorkshire family club" has fallen for it. Sponsored by a Chinese Betting Company ffs.

If there is a difference between Sky/Gambling connections with Leeds Utd and their connection with the world of Media it's that for me Leeds Utd came first and neither have changed the face or essence of why I watch them. They are first and foremost my club who the twin evils have later usurped to a degree so its kind of like a nazi occupation we have to ride out. Liek when Bates.GFH were at our club.

Fox/Sky/Murdochs grip on media and consequently politics transcends sport and has a social control impact that is Orwellian in its despicableness. I have choice. Do I directly buy their rags and other media control instruments or do I tell them to fuck off. I have chosen the latter but I aren't moralising, you are perfectly free to do the former.
